Finally ordered a real phone just now, and to avoid breaking it, I need a sweet case. The lower the price the better. Here are some possibilities as of now:
Wood ///M case: Because ///M3, and because wood is always cool- !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
This super cool gasket case. Supposedly the fact that it's metal can affect your cell signal, which isn't great. But it looks awesome: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Tire Tread Cases. Basic, but easy to find, provide good rubber protection, and there are numerous different types available. Super cheap, too- !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Stanceworks Inline-6 case. Super expensive, but that's the price you pay for artwork. Look at it, it's gorgeous. Plus, I have an Inline-6, so it actually makes sense- !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

The cylinder gasket case would be my pick. Looks so cool.

I like the tire tread one, but if you stick your phone in your pocket like me it will have lint build up in no time. Same problem with the gasket one.

I'm skeptical as to how well it would actually protect my phone as well as the signal issue, but I guess they're both easily solved; deal with it.

Good thought. Never would've considered that.

Wanted a gasket case for God knows how long, but it's only on the iPhone.
Someone posted some good Society6 artwork recently, and I bookmarked the pages. I don't know how these cases are physically, but they look amazing. Oh, and they're pricey at $35.

I usually don't put an case on my iPhone, so when I get a case I want it to be as slim as possible.

I'd have the wood M3 one, the gasket case doesn't look like it'll give that much protection and a very expensive case is never good because you just beat on your phone.

Yup. Coming from a Droid Incredible I got as a hand-me-down after two years of service, which I then used for another year before it broke. I couldn't find any cases worth buying (not that I needed one-it was built like a tank). Now, I finally can get a nice one.
Don't know why, but from the sites above, this one stuck with me:

I too have an ancient phone and it doesn't really need a case. If I drop it, all that happens is the back cover flies off and sometimes the battery will come out as well. My phone is a brick, and is built like one too!
And, nice choice! Because Racecar is the second answer to everything.

I don't like any of these. The wood one is the best but the M logo is tacky.
I say this even though this is the case I had on my old Galaxy Nexus:

The best case is a wood back. (Well, best being relative, depending on how much you beat on it). I put one from Material6 on mine the week I got it, two and a half years ago. Still there. Phone still looks like new.

How reckless are you with your phone? If its going to need real protection, otterbox or those lifeproof cases are your best bet. Stuff like that gasket case and the wood one wont offer all that much protection, and are really just more for looks.

I got the metal head gasket looking one for my 4S and it completely destroyed my reception by over half.
I recently had this made via CaseApp
